Academic Qualifications

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better for the entire undergraduate record or
    • A grade-point average of 3.0 for your last two undergraduate years
  • Four semesters of Calculus
    • Check the MEng concentration of interest 'Plan of Study' as these math requirements can vary by department
    • Calculus I, Calculus II, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Multivariable Calculus or comparable

Applicants must also satisfy all of the UConn Graduate School admission requirements. The Master of Engineering program does NOT require GRE for admission.

Application Requirements  

  • Application – Apply to the UConn Graduate School
    • Select Engineering as your "Academic Area"
    • Select Engineering MEng as 'Program" and
    • Select your "Concentration"
  • Transcripts – Upload within the application
    • You are required to upload all copies of academic credentials for each college/university that you list
  • Personal Statement – Upload within the application
    • Provide 2-3 paragraphs about your background, interest, your career goals and how the graduate degree will help you achieve them. You must identify yourself as a 2020 Springboard Graduate Scholarship candidate 
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation – Online submission procedure within application process.
    • 1 Letter should be an academic contact at UConn
    • 1 Letter should be a personal reference

The application fee is $75 and must be paid online with a credit card.
