Global Entrepreneurship Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to:

  1. Develop technology-based product/services design, and understand both the technology and business needs for commercializing the product/services.
  2. Conduct market survey, understand customer’s needs and develop a sound technical solution and financial viability.
  3. Learn to collaborate with both businesses and technical partners.
  4. Become familiar with the process of conceiving a new product, building a minimum viable product (MVP), develop a complementary business model and plan, and test the market.
  5. Develop communication and data analysis skills to successfully present to investors and deliver business presentations.
  6. Improve the ability to function effectively on project teams, and the ability to manage (interdisciplinary) project teams.
  7. Understand fundamental principals of engineering and science relevant to their entrepreneurial ideas.
  8. Understand the engineering and business principals required for forming a viable technology-based startup and enterprise.
  9. Increase exposure to the entrepreneurial community in Connecticut through networking with peer entrepreneurs and investors at activities run by partner universities, CT Next, and other related organizations.
  10. Become prepared to advance in professional responsibilities and scope of expertise in operating a startup company.
