Nora Sutton, Program Director
Nora joined the Professional Education program in December of 2022. Formerly a Development Officer for the School of Engineering with the UConn Foundation, Nora brings to the team her expertise as a proven facilitator with over six years’ experience building successful strategic partnerships. During Nora’s tenure with the UConn Foundation, she worked in lockstep with faculty, industry partners and alumni to conceptualize and bring to fruition multiple programs and scholarship funds that have contributed and continue to contribute to the fundraising success for the University of Connecticut’s School of Engineering. As Program Director, Nora is responsible for the oversight of the Professional Education program, working with her team to support the individual needs of professionals seeking graduate education and industry workforce development needs. Prior to UConn, Nora worked for Bank of America and Trammell Crow Company, with significant background in project management and corporate real estate. Nora graduated from the University of New Haven and holds a master’s degree in Management from Albertus Magnus College. A Connecticut native, Nora raised her family in Glastonbury. Sharing her passion for UConn, her two sons are undergraduate students at the Storrs campus.
Lisa Reinhardt, Business Development Officer
Lisa has been serving in community organizations throughout her career, and joined Professional Education as the Business Development Officer in May 2022. Most recently, Lisa served the YMCA of Greater Hartford for 19 years. In her various role within the Y, she led enrollment and retention efforts, along with building community partnership sand relationships that drive strategy. Lisa is responsible for business development to help our School (all seven (7) departments, as well as our centers and institutes) grow our enrollment and programs for Professional Education.
Rory McGloin, Associate Director, Communication Programming & Development
Rory McGloin is an award-winning Associate Professor in the Department of Communication. Professor McGloin’s career in higher education spans 15 years, including engagements with over 10,000 learners to date and 30 peer-reviewed journal publications. Rory serves as the Associate Director of Communication Programming and Development for the UConn School of Engineering’s Professional Education.
Kacey Pilver, Program Coordinator
Kacey started with the Professional Education program as a Program Assistant in June 2019. In September 2022, Kacey moved into the role of Program Coordinator. She currently provides support to all Professional Education students while handling the budget and other financial responsibilities. She earned a Bachelor of Science in math with a minor in biology from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2017. She is currently working on her MBA at UConn.
